As we gear up for another exciting summer season, we’re seeking a dynamic Head Cook to lead our kitchen team and uphold our reputation for quality and consistency. Position Overview As the Head Cook, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, leading a talented team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. This role is perfect for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring a diverse team, and has a passion for creating memorable dishes using fresh, local ingredients. Key Responsibilities - Menu Development: Refine and execute a menu that reflects Nancy’s identity while streamlining operations for high-volume service. - Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a seasonal kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment. - Kitchen Operations: Oversee all kitchen activities, including food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining quality standards. - Cost Management: Control food and labor costs through effective inventory control and scheduling. - Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all kitchen operations meet local health and safety regulations. - Collaboration: Work closely with management to implement strategies that increase efficiency and maximize guest satisfaction. Qualifications - Proven experience as a Head Cook, or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume restaurant. - Strong leadership and communication skills, with a talent for motivating and training staff. - Expertise in menu planning, food costing, and maintaining kitchen efficiency. - Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, seasonal environment. - Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices. - Passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients and innovative menu creation.
